It is that time again! Time to hop with all my stamping sisters! The theme for this month’s blog hop is all about the masculine cards for the men in our lives. My father in law is always talking about his cars, from years gone by, and I decided to do my card about cars! That is super tough to say fast. Stampin’ Up! is going to delight you when the new catalog goes live on June 4, 2019. There are even more masculine sets then ever before! Geared up Garage is the stamp set and dies that I used in my card. It is on pace 43 of the occasions catalog and is currently available at a bundle price. When the new catalog goes live and our others retire, all the bundles will go up in price. So if you have had your eye on this set, get it now and save 10% while you can! I used a fun and simple technique, that catches your eye. The technique is called the Eclipse technique. If you have not checked out split coast stampers, they have a great tutorial here. Let me show you my card!
I may be dating myself here with the inside of my card. No one probably says “you’re a gas” any more, but it suited the Dad for whom it was made so there is that! I bet we all know a dad who is funny and gassy too! So the letters for the word Dad come from the large alphabet dies. I cut them out of the Classic Garage DSP and then mounted them back up on foam strips to give the Eclipse look! The gas can and the car were both stamped on real red card stock and
then placed on the card with dimensionals for the car, just snail adhesive for the gas can inside the card. I embellished the card with a touch of the black and silver striped metallic ribbon and voila-A perfect masculine card that could be for Father’s Day or a Birthday!
