Welcome to another Glitter and Glam Girls Blog Hop! This month our theme is “Anything Goes!”
We our entering our second month of the annual catalog, what do you all think? I personally am loving it! So many cute new stamps, paper and embellishments! When I tell you how I came up with my card for this post, you are going to laugh, maybe..
So picture it, On Stage, 2019…here I am all excited for all the new projects, the new catalog and prize patrols! Well one of the prize patrols was an all attendee giveaway! It was a pack of 12 X 12 paper even, show wouldn’t love that? Well, here is the paper pack, which you can see on page 119. I was not immediately loving this paper, so I made myself design a class with it FIRST!
Makes sense, right? Nope, but I made myself anyway, and turns out, that was a good call on my part. I didn’t design one card. Not two…but seven cards! I now love this paper and all the cards I made with the papers, stamps and ink! The paper is raised and very shiny on some sides and smooth on others. Check these papers out in this quick video!
Here is one of the cards I created for this blog hop! If you like it, I will be offering a tutorial to make this as well as five other cards. Let me know if you like the card!
To make this card, you start with the new in color terracotta tile as your card base. I layered crushed curry ( 4 X 5 1/4 )and then garden green (3 3/4 X 4 3/4) with three strips of the dsp that measured 3 1/4 X 1. Do outer two strips first and add the middle strip last. Once those strips were adhered, I embossed the card with the mosaic 3D embossing folder. I punched three daisies with the medium daisy punch using terracotta tile and made a center out of cardstock. I punched a small butterfly out of the new perennial essence vellum cardstock in the so saffron color and layered it on the same size butterfly in terra-cotta tile. Cut two leaves out of the green leafy pattern paper in the mosaic mood paper. Stamp your sentiment from the coordinating set ( this is what makes SU so awesome-coordination people! It is the Garanaimals of paper crafting) I added a couple of small pearls and a piece of braided trim behind the sentiment which I popped up on dimensionals and colored with Wink of Stella and VOILA. This card got it’s groove back!I love this paper! If you love this card and are not working with another demonstrator, I would appreciate your business!
