It is time for our monthly blog hop with the Glitter and Glam girls. I have just returned home from Lansing, Michigan. I attended a Creative Convention, that left me both inspired and exhausted all in one big swoop. Any gathering of learning and creating is always such a soul filling event. We heard so many little nuggets of great business tips, and completed 44 swap cards, over 30 projects and stayed up way too late and had too much fun! Probably ate too much also!
With our Holiday Occasions catalog in full swing, we are focusing this month on Halloween. I personally LOVE halloween and so does my daughter Macy, who happens to be celebrating her 24th birthday today. She has always helped me decorate our house for halloween, but she got her own place last year and now, I am having to do this on my own.
On page 50 of the 2019 Occasions Catalog, there is a set called Birds of a Feather. This cute little set contains 4 different images that allow you to have a fun time coloring. As an adult, it is so relaxing to use our wonderful Stampin’ Blends to color a project. When my husband and I plan on watching a movie, I will stamp multiple images and color the entire time. I think we can safely say that I am all stocked up on Santa’s and snowmen images for a bit! Back to Halloween… Okay, so my card is a fun fold that uses a diagonal half sheet of 81/2 by 11 card stock. I used basic black, but you could certainly use any of the colors listed on the back of The Monster Bash DSP. This is the Designer Series Paper (DSP) I used as a layer in my project. That is something Stampin’ Up! has really cornered the market. Our color coordination could not be easier! On the back of every package of DSP, there is a listing of colors that coordinate. For this DSP, these are your colors:Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede, Terracotta Tile and Whisper White.
Here is a picture of my card, I hope you enjoy it!
If you would like to see a video on how to make this fun card, please leave a comment. Here are the supplies needed to create this card. I appreciate when you shop in my store! If you place an online order using the host code for this month, you will receive a free embellishment!
